The authentic Teppanyaki (Hibachi-style) TRADITION Continues

Tokyo was opened back in 1988 by Yoshi and Donna Tsukano. Yoshi grew up and trained in Japan before working as a chef in New York, Minneapolis, and Los Angeles. For 35 years, Tokyo has been the Chippewa Valley’s premier Japanese Restaurant and is known for having an authentic Teppanyaki (Hibachi-style) experience, creating ginger sauce you will crave, and having the best shrimp in Eau Claire. We personally cut only the highest quality meats and freshest ingredients to create mouthwatering entrées and sauces.

Yoshi and Donna retired from the business in 2019, and today Tokyo is now owned by Eau Claire residents, Jim and Sally Pathos. With the dedication of GM / Executive Chef, Nathaniel J.A. Wesley, they are committed to carrying on Yoshi’s recipes and methods.

When you take 35 years of authentic Japanese recipes and mix it with an environment to accommodate family gatherings, corporate dinners, rehearsal dinners, anniversaries, birthdays, or simply date night, you get an evening to remember.
